Four Months Old

Our sweet Laura is four months old. We delight daily in this precious girl and are so thankful for each smile, coo and giggle. She is such an easy baby who charms everyone she encounters especially her Mommy and Daddy.

We had her four month old check up today. Our little miss is in great health and her lungs are all cleared up from the recent RSV fright. The doctor laughed as he came through the door remarking that she sure figured out how to eat. Remember right after she was born, when she lost two pounds and it was a little scary? No more. She is healthy, active and looking great!

She is 25 3/4th inches long which is the 93rd percentile. She weighs 15lbs 12 oz and that is in the 89th percentile. She is just perfect! The doctor also chuckled and said she is the size of a six month old. Our girl is going to be able to hold her own with her big brother in no time. He also commented on how strong she is now. He watched as she held her head up like a champ, held herself upright in a sitting position (while we balanced her) and when he held her with one hand she stands there on her own for a little while. I told him that Will walked around 9 or 10 months and he suggested that Laura will likely meet or beat that. WHAT???? What is with our cute but over achieving babies??? Love it.

All in all we have a beautiful, healthy baby girl who lights up all of our lives.

What wonderful news that the RSV is GONE! You guys are such overachievers with these big babies and their early physical development. Dad and I can't quit smiling that soon--very, very soon you will all be a short drive away (sorry, Nate, in-laws around the corner!)

Love you all,
Mom
