Moving Days

Moving Days. The packers showed up bright and early and filled all our worldly goods into boxes and the next day showed up and loaded those boxes into a large truck. Will was in little boy Heaven. He clearly thought the moving men hung the moon. He followed them around, talked to them and generally seemed to revere them much like he would Santa Claus. "Hey man, what you doing?" "Hey man, where my toys go?" "Hey man, those daddy size boxes." He thought they were so cool and they seemed to be greatly amused by his infatuation and humored him much.

All was packed and loaded in two full days time. Thank you to our good friends who gave the kids and I shelter and entertainment during that period. It was a crazy two days that ended with camping out on our aerobed prior to leaving the next morning for our Southbound journey. It was the weirdest feeling pulling away from our empty house knowing we weren't coming back. This wasn't just another trip, this was the final drive. Even here now a few days later, it is still a bizarre feeling but now that we are away we are getting really excited to get settled into our new home and start the next chapter for our family.

This truck is headed to 'Bama!

Will asked to go in the truck from the moment he first saw it. Finally on Friday, Will and I got home just in time to check it out right before they closed it up to drive off.

He got to pull the horn...twice!

Watching the "big truck."

Love this one.

Getting creative since all the toys are packed.

Final picture in the Woodbridge house. When we moved in I was early in my pregnancy with Will.

Packed to capacity.

I felt common ground with a pack of sardines, but we made it to Georgia which is our next stop before the last leg of this journey.

Next up? Sweet Home Alabama.
