One rainy evening in December, the kids in their jammies and we with our rain gear traveled in our van on an exciting and memorable adventure. We drove an hour North and found ourselves at The North Pole Express. We got in line at the depot, our tickets were punched by the conductor and then we boarded the train. We took a magical ride to the North Pole, listening to Christmas stories and singing carols along the way, and once we arrived there we saw Santa and Mrs. Claus who made their way through each train car giving hugs and posing for pictures with the kids. It was truly such a special night for our family that we won't forget for a long time. We all had so much fun. Nothing beats seeing pure joy on the faces of your kids. Laura charmed Ms. Claus and Santa while Will was mesmerized by the train key they gave him to take home. He almost immediately popped up from his seat and headed out in the aisle. I asked him where he was going and he said, "they gave me the key to the train, I'm going to put it in the door and go drive it." He was serious. Luckily about that time, the chef comes in with the chocolate milk and cookies to distract him. Our little Polar Express lover was in heaven.
