Laura Elizabeth turns TWO!

Our beautiful girl turned two in October.  She is truly the darling of our family and brings all three of us such joy and smiles.  I treasure watching as she grows from baby to toddler.  She is precious, girly, giggly, loves baby dolls, shoes and wrestling with her Daddy and big brother.  "Again, Daddy!"  Her favorite color is pink, she has discovered a love for all things princess and now demands to wear bows in her hair, unlike the battle she and I used to have when she was a baby to get her to leave them in.  She is a spitfire and tough as nails when she wants to be.  She is not a fan at all of being told no.  She is quick to feel bad and apologize though if she feels she has upset us.  She is a sensitive and sweet soul.  She says the cutest things and is fearless, all at the same time.  She is loyal, compassionate and a whole lot of fun.  She lights up our world as much now as she did as our happy baby, but now she is our "happy guhl," as L says.  

We celebrated her birthday here in Alabama the morning of her actual big day with a small playdate and cupcakes with some of her closest friends.

 We then celebrated her birthday with friends and family in Georgia at her Nana and Papa's lakehouse.  We did a big tailgate outside by the garden.  It was complete with games like ladder golf and corn hole.  We had sidewalk chalk, Fall crafts and lots of bubbles.  It was a beautiful day and a great time with all who turned out like her Nana, Papa, Aunt Emmy, Bebo, Aunt Emily, Gramma, Grampa, LG, Big Doug, Didi, Olivia, Audrey, Aunt Hilary, Uncle Ben, Mr. Rob and Mrs. Ashley, Aunt Sally and Uncle Mark.  Aunt Hilary made her gorgeous birthday cake (per the tradition) that went with our "garden girl" theme with lots of pink, green, ladybugs and butterflies.  It was a great day celebrating our angel.

Laura was adorable while opening her presents.  She got two new costumes, one ballerina and one princess.  Each one she opened she insisted on wearing immediately.  Not a shy bone in this little body, when denied her request for modesty's sake she just started to take her clothes off on her own in a mad rush for the costumes.  A ballerina loving on her baby doll?  This is a perfect moment for Laura-lu.
