in cahoots
We have crossed over. Laura is mobile. What this means to our family is that Will and Laura are now in cahoots. Will loves to play with his sister and she absolutely adores everything he does. She follows him everywhere and my little guy who always is looking for a buddy eats it up.
I don't mean to imply they don't very much act like siblings. He loves to report when she puts things in her mouth (which is actually helpful) because he knows it will be followed by me coming over squeezing those cheeks and doing a finger swipe. She hates it and Will thinks it's highly amusing. He also is abundantly "helpful" at assisting Laura when she gets stuck standing up. She's still new at this standing thing and at times will stand for a while and be anxious about letting go and landing on her rump. When this occurs, Will says "I help her" and goes over, takes her hands and drops her down. Again, he thinks it's amusing and baby girl gets her feelings a bit hurt.
Laura isn't the only one antagonized though. She loves to swipe whatever toy he is playing with and is relentless to get it. If he refuses, she then pitches a little fake fuss already using those tears on her tender hearted brother who often gives her what she wants or something else to distract her. She also crawls over and wants attention whenever we are giving it to her brother trying to edge her way in there and demands it at that moment.
Never a dull moment around here.
