Will at 7 months

Will has become a tumbling clown lately. He is rolling all over the room from toy to toy amusing himself and giving Mommy a temporary break from entertaining from time to time. He still really wants to crawl and is getting a lot closer but is not quite there yet. He's okay rolling around for a while but then will see something he wants that's a little further away (usually me) and pushes himself up on his knees and hands, rocks back and forth and then when nothing happens he gets very frustrated. It's amusing to watch because I know in a heartbeat he's going to be crawling all over the place.

He's also become extremely curious and wants to explore everything. If he's awake he really isn't interested in sitting still. The curiosity combines with the grabbing, rolling or lunging from my arms and we have quite the little monkey on our hands. He's a smart, brave little dude who can usually figure out how to get at what he wants with no help from us. I love watching him explore his surroundings and gain confidence in himself. His favorite items to lunge for are the remote control and my cell phone.

He's such a smiley baby. We're having a lapse in the teething fussiness of the past weeks and it's great. Our little, smiling photo ham is back in business. He's always got a shy grin for anyone who tells him hello.

Here are some pictures from the past few weeks.

Playing with his bath crab. It blows air in his face when squeezed, which he finds quite funny.

Will had his first visit at Chuck E Cheese last weekend. Here he is with his friend Layla.

Layla is giving Will the 411 on Chuck E Cheese and also telling him all about her juice box.

Will playing on the floor with his toys. Such a little ham.

Will wrapped himself up like a burrito in his panda mat, the little roly poly.

Peek A Boo!

This is where the panda mat normally lives.

T-R-O-U-B-L-E!

Just taking a chew on this dangling toy while I roll back and forth.

Will and his chew toy, I mean teething toy. :)

Thank you for posting more pics--we need a video of the roll! Give him hugs and kisses from Nana.

I remember the frustration on a Sunday-school crawler when she watched the other kids walking around. She seemed so determined and actually her personality changed when she finally mastered walking. It was as if she was saying, “Frrrreeeeeddddooom!”

Ms. Julia’s photos are fabulous. I love all of them!!! Of, course Mrs. Judie’s pic of Auntie Em and Audrey are pretty good too!

Ashley
Alison, you didn't mention the UGA football in the picture!!! Nose tackle or middle linebacker is my guess at this point

Wow! I just want to pick him up and squeeze him. There are so many pictures that remind me of Nathan's smile. Ali, I can see a lot of you in Will too. Could he be any cuter?
