Lessons learned...
I, Alison, have lived in 3 states in the past 2.5 years. That's a lot! It started in Atlanta, GA, our hometown in 2004 to our first apartment in Charlotte, NC right after we got married. Then we moved from our apartment to our first house in Huntersville, NC where we lived for a short period of time. Now, we have relocated to Woodbridge, VA which is a suburb of Washington DC. It's enough to make even a sane person feel a bit misplaced and we all know that sanity and I don't always see eye to eye. :-) DC is a plane ride from what we both refer to as "home" but I have learned to call home where my husband and heart are located, those two co-exist. That was lesson #1 and easy to embrace. One of the tougher lessons learned in the last few years is that trying to stay in touch with friends and family can be hard. It's a challenge to stay connected to loved ones when you live so far away. You learn a lot about who your true friends are as it takes a serious effort on both sides to keep in touch when everyone has such busy lives. We have been blessed to make friends every step along this journey so it is my fondest of hopes that this blog will be the avenue to stay in touch with those who are interested in investing our lives together on this crazy adventure we call life.
I can't guarantee that our lives are exciting enough to read about in a blog but for those who are interested I/we will commit to keeping you posted of the comings and goings of the Langmack clan up here in DC. We both hope you will do the same!
Blessings, grace and peace to you all!
