reunion
We had the opportunity recently to take a long weekend vacation with sweet friends of ours from Virginia. We had so much fun and enjoyed showing them around North Georgia. My generous parents let us crash their lake house and we had a fun several days reconnecting and enjoying each other. Thank you, Mom & Dad! Here are some shots from our time together. What a great reunion was had, even if it was sad to have to say goodbyes all over again. Worth it!
first morning together we did a nature scavenger hunt
we went on boat rides
Will and Carter both aren't fans of loud noises
I wasn't sure if these two would remember each other but there was a sweet familiarity and friendship that clearly hadn't changed.
these two kind of fancied each other as well
we went to Legoland...which Will is still talking about
enjoyed lunch at Johnny Rocket's after where the three kids took turns putting dimes in the juke box
we don't get to spend birthdays together anymore so we decided to do a "birthday party" to celebrate together
we went fishing
we fed the fish
Carter trained the kids in the ways of ninjas - Will did reach his "full potential" so said the ninja master C
it isn't the lake without s'mores in the fire bowl which was followed by a lakeside walk and then firefly chasing
ninja boys...
...and girl
looking at the fish under the dock in the green light
|
|
we had to take our friends to the awesome establishment that is the waffle house one morning for breakfast, and it isn't spending time with Mrs. Ali without some music concertos involved
some of us skied
more boat rides
our last evening together we took the boat over to have dinner at a lakeside grill
until next year, my friend!
