Laura Elizabeth

Our precious Laura Elizabeth joined us Monday, October 4th at 11:06AM. I had a scheduled c-section after learning in the weeks prior that she was a larger baby. I had trouble delivering Will for the same reason, so we decided to go ahead and avoid 20+ hours of labor only to end up with a CS by going straight to the end point. I'm SO glad we did. She truly was a big baby and we found out during the surgery that she was breech. God truly prepared the way for us and for her on the day of her birth. It only seems fitting to mention that I went into labor on my own the Sunday before she joined us. No matter how we tried to plan it, it was truly God's timing and provision.

Laura is absolutely dreamy. We all fell in love instantly despite the exhaustion, adjustment with her big brother and other transitional challenges that come with a newborn. She is such a good baby. I forgot how endearing and precious are these first few weeks. Their soft skin, angelic smell and charming coos melt your heart and make them cherished knowing just how quickly it passes. We just can't get enough.
