Apple Picking Reflections

Since Will was only a little over a month old our family has observed the tradition of traveling to Stribling Orchard in Markham, VA to partake in the great Fall activity of apple picking. In a way, it signifies Fall's beginning for our family and says goodbye to Summer. Well, that and football. We love to go and spend time as a family and also with friends and this year the weather was perfect. Crisp and beautiful. We always snag an apple danish and apple butter from the country store on our way out and this year was no different. I'm guessing next year we won't be able to split just one between us.

This year we went with friends to celebrate a much loved little guy's 5th birthday. It was a great time celebrating "Car-car", picking apples and having a picnic in the orchard with friends. It really doesn't get better then that as we welcome Fall.

Years 1 and 3 we shared with good friends of ours. The first year Heather was pregnant with Leah. This last year I'm VERY pregnant with baby girl.
