Police Week 5K

Nate ran the National Police Week 5K this morning and Will and I went with to cheer him on. This launches Police Week in DC. The start and finish line were in front of the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Garden. The race raises money for family survivors of lost law enforcement officers. It's such a worthy cause and we were glad to be a part of it.

The starting line. Nate's back there somewhere.

Will watching the trumpet player during the National Anthem.

The little boy on the podium, and his father standing at the bottom of the stairs to the right, were the honored guests today. His Mom was a police officer who was killed in the line of duty. Very moving and such a fun event for him. He is what the fund and this day are all about.

My little man enjoying the festivities and waiting for the ready, set, go part.

And they're off...Nate's in the middle waving.

Will working on his stroller straps entertaining himself while we waited for the runners to race back to the finish line.

There's Daddy!

Nate and some of his co-workers.

All four of us after the race. :)
