Ocean Isle

We spent last week with our family/friends in Ocean Isle, NC. It was Will's first time putting his toes in the sand and playing in the waves. We were amazed at the beauty of the 7 mile long island and amused by Will's taste for the sand. You'll notice his binky is in his mouth in most of the pictures. This is due to his, er, taste for the sand. He thought it was an endless buffet just for him. Ha! We all had a great trip and hated to leave.

Our week was filled with laughter from the moment we arrived until we left. As you can imagine, a 12 month old and 18 month old have plenty of energy and antics to keep you on your toes. When we arrived Will was exploring and quickly found some leftover Heineken bottles in a cabinet which he tried to drink. I'm pretty sure he felt the seagulls were there for him to chase and he had no fear running into the waves once he warmed up. Audrey was a little doll giving kisses and tolerating Will who was pretty smitten with her. We were surprised at how much fun they had playing together. We also had more seafood then is probably right for one person to consume in a week. We definitely had our fill of shrimp to last us until next Summer. Nate and I got to go on a date one night and had so much fun at a beach front restaurant. It was dreamy and reminded us of our honeymoon. Will had many nose dives into the sand and I'm sure we will be finding it in stuff and our truck for quite some time and that's fine by me.

Thank you Chens for a great week! We're excited to see where our next adventures takes us!
