Back in the 'bridge!

This past Spring N had to travel up to VA for work and this time the kids and I decided to tag along.  It had been two years since we have been to our Virginia "home" and so it seemed a great opportunity to go back up and visit our friend-family and see our old stomping grounds.  The area is so transitional and many friends have moved since we left but the few and faithful who remain are so near and dear to our hearts.  It was a whirlwind of a trip that was action packed from start to finish but so much fun.  We can't wait to go back again one day.

First stop was in GA to have lunch with Nana and Papa.
Second stop was in Charlotte, NC to have a fun spend the night parties with some of our favorite friends.
Very thankful for this lady and her friendship.  Love walking through this life with you, even if from a distance.

We spent a lot of hours in the van.
Apparently Will had to get creative to get comfortable for a nap.
Almost there...
We cruised by our house up there to make sure it's still standing and show the kids.  Nate said I could not knock on the door and ask our tenants for a tour.  :)  This is where we lived for several years and brought both babies home from the hospital after they were born.  Sentimental.
Hotel rooms are the coolest thing ever.
First VA visit is with long time family friends who moved up to VA before we even did.
Of course we had to stop at Wegmans!!!
There is something that just sets your heart right and fills your love tank to be surrounded by dear friends who know you, know your story and love you anyways.
Friend Reunion
Love my Mariah.
Besties.  They act and play like they saw each other yesterday.  God is good.
We missed you Carter!  Fun day trip to National Harbor.
My sweet, soul sistah!
Love these two bffs who have been friends since birth.
Catching up on some Zzzzs between friends houses.
Another fun visit with sweet friends.  We got to meet little Hunter this trip.  He was born shortly after we moved.  What a joy to be all together and reacquaint the kids.
Love these two.  Love this Harley rocker.  I have pictures of Will on it as a baby.  He loved and loves this thing.
New and fast friends.
Not so new but just as fast friends.  This girl was my first friend in Woodbridge and has remained one of my closest.  There is something precious about knowing and being known.
Popsicles on the deck?  Yes, please.
Last night.

Pooped.
x2.
Goodbye again VA.  We miss you!
