Christmas Alabama Style

We celebrated our first family Christmas in Alabama this past Saturday. Last year we started the tradition of having our family Christmas the Saturday before we travel to Georgia for the holidays. The kids are getting bigger and it's important to us to have traditions and memories that are ours. We let Santa know to come early so he makes sure to bring the new toys to our house. We had such a fun morning. This has been such a magical year with Will. He is completely a believer and at times seems to have the enthusiasm of Buddy the Elf. The only problem we've had is he doesn't understand why we are not invited to the North Pole on the Polar Express to see Santa like the boy on the movie he watches over and over. Ha! Here are pictures from our first Christmas in Alabama.

We opened the screen on the fireplace so Santa could come down. Will was completely mystified.

We set out Santa's plate of goodies. Will insisted he would like Daddy's special Peppermint Bark and a glass of chocolate milk to go with our reindeer food. No pressure y'all but we spoiled Mr. C at our place.

The first thing Will asked as we walked in his room that morning was, "is Santa here?" After telling him no but that he had clearly been here, Will asked, "are their toys????" Smile.

"The stockings were hung by the chimney with care" but became too heavy once St. Nick had been there.

"He came!!!!!"

Santa done good.

Laura loved the stockings. She loves stuffed animals and there was a plush reindeer sticking out the top. She just couldn't help herself. All morning she pulled stuff out, put it back in, pulled it out and put it back in. Precious girl.

Seriously Mom? Do you see the presents? Enough with the paparazzi.

Will got some cool badges in his stocking. He insisted on putting this one on (it was the special agent one, go figure) and his Daddy held an impromptu swearing in that ended with Merry Christmas. Ha!
